چکیده

The (p ,d*) pickup reaction, leading to spin-singlet and spin-triplet continuum final states of the np system, is treated within the adiabatic approximation. Calculations are carried out for the C(p ,d*) and C(p ,d) reactions at 35 MeV, leading to the ground and 4.44 MeV states of C, for which new data have recently been reported. The np relative energy dependence of the (p ,d*) cross sections and the contributions from triplet and singlet configurations are clarified. We show that, within the adiabatic model, theoretical expectations for the magnitude of the singlet state cross section and of the relative magnitudes of the cross sections for the (p ,d) and singlet and triplet (p ,d*) channels are particularly transparent. The calculated adiabatic model cross sections differ by an order of magnitude from recently published calculations and data. We show that vector analyzing power data for the ground state transition could be very valuable in clarifying this disagreement. @S0556-2813~96!01706-2#

Implementation of Single-Qutrit Quantum Gates via Tripod Adiabatic Passage

We proposed and analyzed implementation of the single-qutrit quantum gates based on stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) between magnetic sublevels in atoms coupled by pulsed laser fields. This technique requires only the control of the relative phase of the driving fields but do not involve any dynamical or geometrical phases, which make it independent of the other interaction details: ...

Mathematical Modeling of an Industrial Naphtha Reformer with Three Adiabatic Reactors in Series

A mathematical model for commercial naphtha catalytic reformer of Tehran refinery was developed. This model includes three sequencing fixed beds of Pt/Al2O3 catalyst at the steady state condition using detailed kinetic scheme involving 26 pseudo-components connected by a network of 47 reactions, in the range of C6 to C9 hydrocarbons. The reaction network consisted dehy...

MINIMIZATION OF DETERMINISTIC FINITE AUTOMATA WITH VAGUE (FINAL) STATES AND INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY (FINAL) STATES

In this paper, relations among the membership values of gener- alized fuzzy languages such as intuitionistic fuzzy language, interval-valued fuzzy language and vague language are studied. It will aid in studying the properties of one language when the properties of another are known. Further, existence of a minimized nite automaton with vague ( final) states for any vague regular language recog...

Multiconfigurational molecular dynamics with quantum transitions: Multiple proton transfer reactions

We present the new method ‘‘multiconfigurational molecular dynamics with quantum transitions’’ ~MC-MDQT! for the simulation of processes involving multiple proton transfer reactions. MC-MDQT is a mixed quantum/classical molecular dynamics method that allows the quantum mechanical treatment of the nuclear motion of multiple hydrogen atoms and accurately describes branching processes ~i.e., proce...
